Obilet has reached an agreement with BlaBlaCar for a strategic investment in exchange for a majority share in 2024. Main responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the first drafts of agreements and notices, taking part in negotiations alongside the legal team, and maintaining the resulting documents in the team's inventory;

  • Coordinating legal notifications and maintaining the notification tracking table, with the support of the paralegal; preparing draft responses to notifications;

  • Carrying out the required checks during the onboarding of newly executed agreements;

  • Supporting the legal team in disputes and litigation;

  • Conducting legal research on legislation and regulatory practice, and presenting the findings in clear written memoranda;

  • Monitoring new regulations and decisions of relevant regulatory bodies, such as the Turkish Advertising Board and the Personal Data Protection Authority;

  • Supporting communication with external parties on routine follow-up and documentation processes, and keeping a record of the resulting action items;

  • Preparing Turkish–English translations of legal documents relating to the matters you work on.

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable law school, with a strong academic record;

  • Strong writing skills in both Turkish (will be tested) and English (to be demonstrated with a valid IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent certificate, if available; otherwise tested during the selection process), and a keen interest in developing negotiation skills;

  • The ability and willingness to translate complex legal documents in both directions (will be tested);

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (will be tested);

  • Close attention to detail;

  • The ability to work to strict deadlines, prioritise tasks and manage time effectively;

  • The ability to work in a dynamic environment and within flexible working hours;

  • Sound business ethics, a willingness to learn and the ambition to step up;

  • Previous internship experience gained during law school is a plus.
