Obilet.com, founded in 2012, is an end-to-end travel ticketing application listing hundreds of bus operators, airlines and ferry companies. Obilet also provides bus operators with a best-in-class Inventory Management System (IMS) in the form of SaaS.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Legal who will reported to CSO and will be part of our Strategy, Legal, Data and Corporate Development Team to work mainly on corporate law, investment law, GDPR, contracts, compliance and competition.If you want to join our team as a part of our ongoing success story, apply now!

Main responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the legal team and external legal counsel/advisor teams to coordinate their workload and outputs
• Manage all tasks related to corporate law and trade law as well as corporate governance matters and regulatory filings
• Set and deliver legal strategy, based on business objectives and legal risk assessments
• Advise the management team on legal matters
• Regularly monitor and interpret the legislative environment
• Guide the company in resolving legal and regulatory disputes
• Prepare and review all kind of contracts
• Guide relations with investors and business partners within the legal framework and make necessary negotiations
• Manage legal parts of M&As and exit/investment rounds
• Provide legal strategy as well as execute the required actions for full compliance with Turkish and international competition laws where Obilet has / will have operations at

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable law school with strong academic record (an LLM degree will be an asset)
• Min. 12 years of relevant professional work experience built both at a reputable top-tier legal consultancy firm and a public / private company
• Working knowledge on venture capital, M&A projects, legal due diligence and investment rounds is a must
• Working knowledge on GDPR is a must
• Working knowledge on competition and IP laws is a plus
  

Required skills:

• Proven top-tier project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong writing and negotiating skills both in Turkish and English (proven by IELTS or TOEFL score or any similar certificate)
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications 
• Very high attention to details
• Ability to work with strict deadlines, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and within flexible working hours
• Proactiveness, ownership, and a mindset that ensures tasks are completed strictly within the deadlines with the highest standards
