Obilet.com, founded in 2012, is an end-to-end ticketing platform listing hundreds of bus operators, airlines and ferry companies. Obilet also provides bus operators its best-in-class Inventory Management System (IMS) as a SaaS.


Obilet is the indisputable market leader in Turkey both in B2B and B2C segments with 400+ bus carriers using its IMS software, 20 million visitors per month, and 10 million app downloads.


Obilet is projected to sell more than 30 million tickets annually in 2022, making it one of the top-3 bus ticketing platforms in the world. Obilet also set its vision to be the one-stop-shop for whole needs of users regarding the tourism and travel products by expanding its category offerings with the addition of hotel booking and car rental services. Moreover, Obilet is about to launch its international expansion in H2 2022, by when it will have one of the largest, if not the most, coverage of markets globally.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • You will be the owner of all operations and projects for our new market launches into new countries
  • You will be actively participating in building and revising our global expansion strategy by collecting, preparing and analyzing information on internal and external environment
  • You will execute our international expansion strategy working towards stretch deadlines and targets in order to provide scalable global coverage
  • You will own the KPIs around our international expansion roadmap and report on the progress to senior management
  • You will be responsible for tracking core business metrics and will monitor progress regarding product related issues for our operations abroad
  • You will identify the critical business questions to solve for expansion and work with colleagues and consultants (e.g., commercial, legal, tech) to find the best solutions
  • You will maintain regular communication with key stakeholders across the organization including our Product, Technology, Strategy, Business Development, HR, Operations and Finance departments to ensure full alignment for the product rollouts and quick implementation of the initiatives
  • You will work with our Marketing team on PR and performance marketing to increase brand awareness at international markets
  • You will contribute to building of our expansion teams on-site as well as help them perform, grow and develop as professionals
  • Together with the international sales team, you will drive partner acquisition, ensure smooth on-boarding, and partner enablement
  • In case we decide to scale up our other travel products and reseller network in foreign markets, you will assist teams in charge of those operations

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or another related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, operations, consulting or another related field
  • Fluency in English; working knowledge of other European languages is an asset
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment such as consulting, start-up or VC is an asset
  • International work experience is an asset
  • Solid experience in management of people and systems
  • Ability and willingness to travel abroad frequently
  • Flexibility to do frequent travels to European and Latin American countries and other regions that will be targeted by Obilet
